Ladies held their first Open competition of the year 'Laurieston Rosebowl'. The weather definitely shone upon them with the first signs of summer and the high temperatures getting the better of some! 55 pairs played from 14 different clubs from around the region and beyond. The ladies played the Wee Course due to the adverse weather we had suffered at the beginning of the week, the ladies thoroughly enjoyed with many compliments to Greenkeepers on the excellent condition of the course. Robert and staff again spoiled us all with wonderful hospitality and food.
Lady Captain Fiona Macgregor would like to thank all participants and congratulations to all the winners.

2018 Ladies Opening day.
Ladies had a lovely lunch served by Ali our caterer prior to teeing off. Gents Captain Dayne Boyd joined the ladies for lunch where he presented Fiona with a beautiful bouquet and wished Fiona and all the ladies a successful season . Ladies made there way to the first tee where Captain Fiona Macgregor hit a superb drive off the first tee straight down the middle followed by and equally well driven ball by Mary Corbett Vice Captain. Despite the weather all had a very enjoyable game with the result being an amicable draw between Captain & Vice Captains teams. On returning to the clubhouse Fiona announce the venue for her Ladies Away Day which will take place at Sanquhar Golf Club in August, she concluded with Winter Eclectic Prize giving. Many ladies stayed and enjoyed the Gins very masterly produced by our very creative bar Steward Robert to whom we are grateful for all his help and support. ... See MoreSee Less
