Opening Times

With the season fast approaching & opening day on the 1st of April, it’s been a busy period throughout winter getting the course in the best shape possible for the year ahead.

We have cut down diseased trees, de-limbed trees for better ventilation, fixed paths, restructured some bunkers and removed some bunkers – The decision has been made by the Greens Team and the committee to fill in the bunkers at the right hand side of the 6th green and the back right of the 13th. Substantial tree roots are starting to invade these bunkers. The bunker at the 6th has been made into a grass bunker and the bunker at the 13th will be cut as a run off area.

The 1st tee has had a make over for better access to the course for buggies & the general outlook.
New for this season is the introduction of 3 sets of flags. Begining from 1st April.  These are designed to help identify what part of the green the pin is on
Front middle or back.

YELLOW = FRONT
MIDDLE = BLACK & WHITE
RED = BACK

We have also added Black tee markers. These are for senior golfers to use if they wish to for bounce games only. This is a trial and I would like feedback from members either directly to Keith Mcartney or myself.
Lastly please help us to help you out on the course. With so many members & visitors to the course it’s important we all look after it –

Replace your divots
Put litter in bins provided
Use sand & seed provided on par 3 tees
Follow all paths & roped off areas
REPAIR pitch marks on greens

I hope everyone finds this information helpful & that you all have a fantastic season.
Keith Stenton,
Greens Convenor.
