Fernie Cup A Great Success

This weekend saw the first running of the Fernie Cup Family Fun weekend.

Over 30 teams entered and the first day saw teams compete in an am-am format with the two best nett scores at each hole recorded. At the end of the day three teams were tied on 117.

At the clubhouse a large crowd turned out for the barbecue, Tiny Circus Face Painting and bouncy castle provided by The Inflatable Man. The crowd was entertained by local band BLOOM and a Disco provided by Paul Wells. All who attended commented on what a great day it had been and all the kids enjoyed their free ice creams!

The second day saw the teams compete in a Texas Scramble format, unfortunately the weather meant the bouncy castle and barbecue were out of action on the Sunday but everyone had a good time in the comfort of the clubhouse.

Prizegiving was held at 8pm and saw the team of Alan Mcabe, Scott Pettigrew, Peter Handley and Russell Handley lift the Fernie Cup with their total score for the weekend of 179 (117 + 62). Full results available here
