A little Christmas Cheer

2020  has been a very challenging year for everyone, but especially those living alone and the elderly.  The ladies section supported each other throughout with some doing shopping, zoom chats and eventually being able to meet on and off the golf course.    The ladies section decided they would like to give something back to the local community.   Summerhill Community Centre was contacted they were very grateful, asking if we could help with donations for the elderly, by donating biscuits, toiletries and sweets so they would all get a small gift the week of Christmas.  The ladies quickly got going, and  biscuits, toiletries and sweets came flooding in, the whole club got involved and as usual the generosity was overwhelming with goods and cash donations.  The ladies also wrote cards to go with the gifts, which I’m sure will be a joy to many living alone.    Ann Marie Summerhill Community Centre Manager is so grateful to you all, as the gifts will be very much appreciated by the elderly in the community who through  circumstance will be on their own this year.
